Life Update: New York City
I haven’t done a personal post in a while and I think its a good time for a life update.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve gotten a lot of messages and emails asking if I moved to New York City.🗽The answer is YES, and I have officially been here for one month 📆 today.
I didn’t make a big announcement when I moved for a few reasons, but mainly because I wanted to show my California clients that nothing would change when I moved, and it hasn’t. I am still running my design business full time, and I am still serving my clients in San Diego, as well as across the country. Let me explain. My business is primarily online, and I am able to do my entire process via email, Skype and my website. Also, since my photographers are in San Diego and LA, ☀️ we are still offering brand photography services in those locations.
I will be coming back and forth✈️ from the East to West Coast often. #bicoastal
The main question I’m getting is, why did I move? No, it was not for a job, or a relationship. Living somewhere besides California is something I’ve always wanted to do. And I couldn’t think of a better place than New York. 🍎 The City has everything. And since, like I said, my business is online, I can pretty much work anywhere in the world that has wifi. 👩🏼💻 In a nutshell, I came here to gain new experiences, meet new people, and push myself out of my comfort zone and grow as a human.
Like I said, it’s been one month. It’s going well so far, it’s a big adjustment but I’m excited about it. I miss you guys in California a ton, so please come visit me and I’ll show you around.
I am currently accepting new clients and now is the perfect time to start a project for a January 2020 launch. 🚀
Leave any questions you have for me in the comments section! Also NYC recommendations much appreciated!!
Hey! I’m Gretchen.
I'm a bi-coastal (New York City & San Diego) graphic designer turned branding specialist who lives in yoga pants and is fueled by pizza and red wine. I will use any excuse to travel and I LOVE teaching other entrepreneurs everything I've learned about branding and digital marketing in the last four years of full-time self-employment. When I'm not in my design studio, you can find me cooking, sipping on red wine, listening to jazz, and spending quality time with family & friends.
